I have been involved in Fly-Fishing since the age of 14. What started as a fascination, turned into an obsession after watching an old man cast from the hip deep waters of a North East reservoir for Rainbow Trout. That same old man took me under his wing after I arrived at the lake and helplessly flailed away at the water with a cheapo outfit purchased by my Mom at a local K-Mart. This kindly old man started the flame that is still burning today even brighter than those days at the lake.

Paddle sports have always played a big role in my life even at a young age. My first experience was in various home made contraptions you could call a raft, then canoes, and finally the transition to kayaks. The years went by and the skills grew. I entered tournaments & won a few here and there. This pushed me to start my first guide operation, Adventure Kayak Fishing.

From there came the realization of wanting a greater challenge out of fishing the flats. The need to be separated from the "Rock & Roll" atmosphere of tournament fishing and the longing for a "quiet" sport that compliments what I already enjoy; paddling. You put the two together and you have a most effective combination for fishing Florida and anywhere else in the world.

I currently reside in the Boca Grande area with the best catch of my life; my wife Michele, who is also an accomplished fly angler, three ferrets along with the Snook, Redfish and Tarpon in the waters that surround us.
